Who We Are

A family-owned grain and animal feed processing company based in Karatina Town, Nyeri County.

We manufacture premium sifted maize flour under our Camel, Sixpack, and Salama brands, and produce quality animal feeds for cattle, pigs, poultry, and fish. From our high-output facility with four dedicated millers, we serve homes, retailers, and farmers across the Mount Kenya region.

Our Story

A Family Legacy in Every Grain.

Founded in 2009 by Maina Mwangi Kariuki and his wife Ann Njeri, Salama Millers began with a simple belief: every Kenyan home deserves soft, wholesome ugali made from the finest sifted maize flour.

From humble beginnings, we've grown into a multi-unit milling operation. Using milling by-products, we've also expanded into quality animal feeds — supporting farmers across the region. Our journey has been supported by KIE and MSEA, and our name, Salama ("safe" in Swahili), reflects exactly what we deliver.
